What is TPR actually?

Learning a language by total physical response = it's learning by doing.

Classical TPR:
  • use of imperative form
  • every word attached to physical action
  • no translation = thinking in the target language
Is this the same as the idea that you had before the workshop?

  1. The truth is that before the workshop I didn't have a concrete idea, I knew it consisted on gicing commands but I hadn't thought carefully about it.
Now that I know how it works I really think that it is a very useful method and I would like to use it in the future. But I also think that we have to be careful how we use it and for which level because it can become boring and then it would be useless.

  2. I had no idea of what TPRS was, but I already knew something about TPR. The thing I've learned from the workshop that you have to repeat everything over and over again.

  3. before the workshop i had a vague idea on what tpr could be, however i didnt think about it in depth and was quite surprised when it was just about physical response and not verbal.

I think i were to do TPR i would adapt this with a little verbal to make it interesting!
